Setting up Windows & Mac step by step
You will need your IPTVhub username, password and server URL from your activation email. If you have not ordered yet, the 24-hour free trial gives you the same credentials at no cost.

Download a player
For the full experience, download IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows or macOS from the link in your welcome email. For a quick test, VLC from videolan.org works fine.

Install and open it
Run the installer and accept the defaults. On macOS you may need to right-click → Open the first time to bypass Gatekeeper.

Add your playlist
In IPTV Smarters choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter your credentials. In VLC, use Media → Open Network Stream and paste the M3U URL from your email.

Set hardware acceleration
In IPTV Smarters → Settings → Player, enable hardware decoding. This drops CPU usage dramatically on 4K channels.

Connect to your TV if you want
An HDMI cable from your laptop to the TV works, or cast from Chrome using the Google Cast menu.

Your channel list, the 7-day programme guide and the on-demand library are now available on your Windows & Mac. Remember that you can install on as many devices as you like, and only simultaneous streams count against your plan.

Tips specific to Windows & Mac
These come from our support desk rather than a manufacturer datasheet. They are the adjustments that make a measurable difference in daily use.
VLC has no channel guide. It is fine for testing but frustrating for daily use.
Kodi with the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on gives the most customisable setup if you enjoy tinkering.
Wired Ethernet on a desktop is the single most reliable way to watch 4K.
Windows Defender occasionally flags IPTV player installers. Our download links are signed. Check the publisher before allowing.
If something goes wrong
Troubleshooting Windows & Mac
The three issues our support desk sees most often on this platform, and the fix for each.
Toggle hardware acceleration off in the player's playback settings. Older Intel integrated graphics struggle with some HEVC streams.
The M3U URL was pasted with a trailing space or a missing port. Re-copy it from your activation email.
Enable hardware decoding, and drop from 4K to FHD streams. Software decoding 4K HEVC will pin most laptop CPUs.
