Getting Started

IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. Instead of receiving channels through a coaxial cable or a satellite dish, your TV pulls each channel as a video stream over your existing home internet connection. Because it travels over the open internet, there is no installation truck, no set-top box rental, and no regional wiring limitation. Any Canadian household with a stable broadband connection can use it. You install a small player app on a device you already own, enter the login details we email you, and your channel list appears exactly like a traditional cable guide.

Activation is automatic. Once payment clears, our system provisions your line and emails your username, password and server address, normally within 2 to 10 minutes, and always within one hour. From there, installing a player and logging in takes about five minutes on most devices. Most Canadian customers are watching within 15 minutes of ordering.

Yes. We provide a 24-hour free trial with one connection and the complete channel and VOD library. Nothing is held back. No credit card is required to start it. We limit trials to one per household so we can keep them genuinely free rather than rate-limited.

Almost certainly not. If you own a Smart TV, a Firestick, an Android box, an iPhone, an iPad, a Windows PC, a Mac, or an Xbox, you already have everything you need. The only households that need to buy something are those with a very old television and no streaming device, and in that case a $50 CAD Amazon Fire TV Stick solves it.

For the overwhelming majority of our customers, yes. IPTVhub carries the Canadian networks, the regional sports feeds, the specialty channels, the US networks and a 90,000-title on-demand library. The one thing IPTV cannot replace is over-the-air emergency broadcast, so we always suggest keeping a basic antenna as a backup. They cost around $30 CAD.

Plans & Billing

We offer four durations (1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months), each available with 1, 2 or 3 simultaneous connections. Pricing starts at $19.99 CAD for one month on a single connection, and the 12-month, single-connection plan works out to $10 CAD per month. All prices are in Canadian dollars with no hidden fees, no installation charge and no equipment rental.

A connection is one simultaneous stream. You can install IPTVhub on unlimited devices (the TV, your phone, a tablet, the cottage) and log in on all of them. The connection count only limits how many can be playing at the same moment. A single-connection plan suits one viewer; a three-connection plan covers a full household watching three different things at once.

Yes, at any time. You pay only the prorated difference between your current tier and the new one for the remaining days on your subscription. Contact support and the upgrade takes effect within minutes. You do not need to reinstall anything or change your login details.

Card payments only, processed by Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, which are card wallets settling on the same card rails. We do not accept Interac e-Transfer, bank transfers, PayPal or cryptocurrency. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted payment page and are never sent to or stored on our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest certification level in the payments industry.

There is no contract, and nothing renews automatically unless you explicitly opt in. When your plan ends, service simply stops and you decide whether to buy another. We think a service should keep customers by being good, not by making cancellation difficult.

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on every plan. If the service does not work properly for you and our support team cannot resolve it within that window, we refund you in full, with no restocking fee and no argument. We do ask that you let us try to fix the problem first, because the vast majority of complaints turn out to be a router or app setting we can correct in a few minutes.

Yes. Every price on this site is quoted in CAD. There is no currency conversion surprise on your statement and no foreign transaction fee, which is a common complaint with offshore IPTV providers billing in USD or EUR.

Channels & Content

Comprehensively. The lineup covers the national private networks, the public broadcaster and its news channel, the independent local stations, both national sports networks with all of their regional and overflow feeds, the complete French-language package, the 24-hour news channels, and the full specialty tier covering lifestyle, documentary, factual and drama. Regional feeds matter for hockey, so we carry the Eastern, Ontario, Western and Pacific sports feeds separately rather than supplying one generic national feed.

Yes. Hockey coverage runs across both national sports networks, including the regional and national broadcasts and the out-of-market feeds. Football comes through both the Canadian rights holders and the American networks. Basketball runs on the Canadian sports networks and the American feeds. Numbered mixed martial arts events and major boxing pay-per-views are included at no additional charge, which alone often costs more per event on traditional providers than a full month of IPTVhub.

Oui. The French lineup covers the public broadcaster and its continuous news channel, the private national networks, both French-language sports channels, and the full French specialty tier spanning documentary, lifestyle, history, drama and community programming. Quebec and bilingual households in Ontario and New Brunswick get both languages on a single subscription with no additional fee.

Over 90,000 titles: roughly 45,000 films and 45,000 television series episodes, organised by genre, release year and language. New releases are typically added within days. Series arrive as complete seasons with episode-level navigation, so you can binge without hunting for individual files.

Yes to both. The full electronic programme guide covers seven days forward with proper Canadian listings in your local time zone. Catch-up TV lets you rewind the last seven days on most major channels, so a missed game or episode is still there when you get home.

We carry an optional adult category, disabled by default on every new account. If you want it enabled, ask support and we will switch it on and set a PIN. If you never ask, those channels do not appear in your guide at all, which is the behaviour most families want.

Technical

For a single SD stream, 5 Mbps is enough. HD needs about 10 Mbps, Full HD about 15 Mbps, and 4K needs a sustained 25 Mbps. Multiply by the number of simultaneous connections you plan to use. A three-connection household watching two HD streams and one 4K stream wants roughly 50 Mbps of real throughput. Almost every Canadian cable or fibre plan sold today exceeds this comfortably.

In our experience about 70% of buffering is Wi-Fi rather than the service. The fixes, in order of effectiveness: move the device to 5 GHz Wi-Fi or plug in Ethernet, restart the router and the streaming device, reduce the stream quality from 4K to FHD, and increase the buffer setting in your player to 3 to 5 seconds. If those do not resolve it, contact support. We can move your line to a different server node, and that fixes most of the remainder.

It is not required. Our service works on all major Canadian ISPs without one. That said, some customers prefer a VPN for general privacy, and we are fully VPN-friendly. We do not block VPN traffic or lock your account to a single IP address. If you do use one, choose a Canadian server for the best speed and correct regional feeds.

Canadian ISPs generally do not throttle by protocol, and our traffic looks like ordinary HTTPS video. If you see consistent slowdowns at the same time each evening, that is usually neighbourhood congestion on a shared cable node rather than deliberate throttling. Customers on fibre such as Bell Fibe, Telus PureFibre, SaskTel infiNET and Beanfield rarely report it at all.

We run 18 load-balanced server nodes with a 99.9% uptime target. Traffic is distributed automatically, so if a node degrades, your session moves to a healthy one without you doing anything. Planned maintenance happens overnight in the relevant time zone and is announced in advance by email.

Yes. Your account is not geo-locked, so it works from anywhere with an internet connection. Snowbirds wintering in Florida or Arizona use it constantly to keep their Canadian channels. Speeds outside North America may be lower depending on the route, and a VPN back to a Canadian server usually improves it.

Devices

Amazon Firestick and Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Android phones and tablets, generic Android boxes, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows PC, macOS, MAG and Formuler set-top boxes, Xbox, PlayStation, and Roku via mirroring or an approved channel. If a device can install a video player and reach the internet, it almost certainly works.

For most people, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max running IPTV Smarters Pro. It costs about $70 CAD and handles everything well. For enthusiasts who want the very best, an NVIDIA Shield TV Pro with TiviMate Premium is unmatched for 4K sports. For less technical households, a Formuler Z11 is the closest thing to a traditional cable box.

Yes, and most people do. Install it everywhere. The connection limit only governs simultaneous playback. A single-connection customer might have it on the living room TV, a phone and a laptop, and simply watch one at a time.

We do. Our support team will walk you through installation on a call or over WhatsApp, and on 6 and 12-month plans we include a free scheduled setup session with a technician who does it with you step by step. We also publish detailed written guides for every supported device.
