Setting up MAG & Formuler step by step
You will need your IPTVhub username, password and server URL from your activation email. If you have not ordered yet, the 24-hour free trial gives you the same credentials at no cost.

Send us your MAC address
The MAC address is printed on a sticker underneath the box and also shown under Settings → System Settings → About. Email it to support@iptvhub.ca, since the portal is locked to your MAC for security.

Wait for confirmation
We register the MAC on our portal server, usually within 10 minutes during support hours. You will get a reply with your portal URL.

Enter the portal address
On the box go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals. Set Portal 1 Name to IPTVhub and Portal 1 URL to the address we sent. Save.

Restart the portal
Press the Exit or Menu button and choose Restart Portal. The box reboots into the IPTVhub interface with your full lineup.

Set your favourites
Press the FAV button on any channel to add it to a quick-access list. This is far faster than scrolling 24,000 channels with a remote.
That is it
Your channel list, the 7-day programme guide and the on-demand library are now available on your MAG & Formuler. Remember that you can install on as many devices as you like, and only simultaneous streams count against your plan.
Worth knowing
Tips specific to MAG & Formuler
These come from our support desk rather than a manufacturer datasheet. They are the adjustments that make a measurable difference in daily use.
Formuler Z11 Pro Max is the current sweet spot for Canadian subscribers, with 4K, Wi-Fi 6, and the excellent MYTVOnline 3 interface.
MAG boxes only take one portal per MAC. If you move the box to another home, nothing changes. It follows your account.
Use the included Ethernet cable if you can. MAG Wi-Fi dongles are notoriously weak.
Keep the firmware current under Settings, then Software Update, but never install third-party firmware, as it voids portal compatibility.
If something goes wrong
Troubleshooting MAG & Formuler
The three issues our support desk sees most often on this platform, and the fix for each.
The MAC was mistyped or not yet registered. Double-check the sticker and confirm with support that the MAC on file matches.
Reset the network settings: Settings → Network → Auto (DHCP), then Restart Portal. If it persists, do a factory reset and re-enter the portal URL.
Replace the batteries and keep the box out of a closed cabinet. The IR receiver needs line of sight.
