Setting up Firestick step by step
You will need your IPTVhub username, password and server URL from your activation email. If you have not ordered yet, the 24-hour free trial gives you the same credentials at no cost.

Enable apps from unknown sources
From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options, then switch on both Apps from Unknown Sources and ADB Debugging. Fire OS hides Developer Options until you open Settings → My Fire TV → About and click the Fire TV Stick tile seven times.

Install the Downloader app
Return to the home screen, open Find → Search and type "Downloader". Install the orange Downloader app by AFTVnews. Open it once and allow storage access when prompted.

Download IPTV Smarters Pro
In Downloader's URL bar enter the download code we email you with your credentials, then press Go. Wait for the APK to download and choose Install, then Done. Delete the APK when Downloader offers, to save space.

Log in with your IPTVhub details
Open IPTV Smarters Pro, choose Login with Xtream Codes API, and enter the username, password and server URL from your activation email. Give the playlist any name you like, such as IPTVhub.

Let the guide load and start watching
The app downloads the full 7-day EPG on first launch. This takes two to three minutes on most connections. Once it finishes, open Live TV, pick a category such as Canada Sports, and press play.
That is it
Your channel list, the 7-day programme guide and the on-demand library are now available on your Firestick. Remember that you can install on as many devices as you like, and only simultaneous streams count against your plan.
Worth knowing
Tips specific to Firestick
These come from our support desk rather than a manufacturer datasheet. They are the adjustments that make a measurable difference in daily use.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max has roughly double the RAM of the basic stick and handles 4K sports far better. It is worth the extra $30 CAD.
Connect over 5 GHz Wi-Fi rather than 2.4 GHz, or use an Ethernet adapter for wired reliability.
Restart the stick once a week. Fire OS leaks memory and a reboot clears most buffering complaints.
Turn off Amazon's Data Monitoring under Settings → Preferences to stop it throttling background downloads.
If something goes wrong
Troubleshooting Firestick
The three issues our support desk sees most often on this platform, and the fix for each.
Clear the app cache under Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → IPTV Smarters Pro → Clear Cache, then reopen. If it persists, reinstall the APK.
Force-close the app and reopen it while on Wi-Fi. The EPG is a large file and a dropped download leaves it blank. It refreshes automatically every 24 hours.
4K needs a sustained 25 Mbps. Run a speed test on the stick itself, not your phone. Switch to the FHD version of the same channel if your line cannot hold it.
